County leaders in Wichita extend their data center moratorium

While the city of Tulsa considers a year-long moratorium on data centers, officials in Wichita, Kansas recently voted to extend their existing 90-day pause.

Sedgwick County Commissioners voted to extend the moratorium until June after residents asked for the extension. As a result, the moratorium will be extended from April 17 to June 11.

Sedgwick County is still set to host two meetings on data centers. One will be held March 12 and another with the County Planning Department will be held March 31.
