Tulsa city council asked to implement data center moratorium

Tulsa City Council members are being asked to consider a one-year moratorium on approval of any data centers in the city.

The issue as presented by councilwoman Laura Bellis is on the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting.

Consideration and possible approval, adoption, denial, amendment or revision of an Ordinance declaring a 365‐day Moratorium on the acceptance of applications for, processing of and issuance of building permits that would allow construction on, or use of, property for Data Center use located in the City of Tulsa; providing for an exception and an appeal process; providing effective and repeal dates.
